The Chalet Party (Volume 2 of X, X = +ve integers )


the chalet party didnt go well as planned or expected. we didnt have mahjong due to some unforseen circumstances beyond our control. we could have rented a set there but we didnt coz some others were reluctant to do so, probably coz they didnt really know how to play the game.

poor birthday girl was sick (juz like me last year hahah). but with TLC from joe, she can only get better. well, the couple really did quite something for the party, including the decor, the lovely guest card (o yeah i like tt!), the door gifts, the creative ice-made-in-a-cup, the carton of (uncold) pepsi in the fridge which made us went "wow!"...
it was hell lot of an effort i muz say (poor joey muz have suffered hehe but i tink he enjoyed it as it was all worthwhile to make his gf happy)

entertainment was reduced to mainly card games which wasnt exactly too fun or exciting. think there's more fun posing for pics. took quite a few, which i would post in frenster in time, so rem to visit my profile for an update.

tink the hilite of the nite was when kailing went berserk for reasons unknown to everyone but i guess its coz shes probably too bored. however, her antics came as a shock to us, something which we were totally unexpecting and caught us completely by surprise. it lasted quite a while and even woke up the couple from the other room. i shall not elaborate except to say tt it was a combination of wrestling, pillow fighting, leg biting, hair pulling, (wo/)man-handling... go figure
it was madness! (hmm mad fun)

Friday... supposed to be a good day, but turn out wasnt a totally good 1. good start in the morning, but not so good after that. 262... wat can i say... if all it takes to teach is to read out equations and circling variables, there's not much point in coming for lectures. going for tt friday afternoon 262 lecture was a complete waste of my time. oo then its off to chalet loh. from boon lay mrt all the way to pasir ris station, from one end rite to the other (wow what a way to waste time)

delighted to meet my pals, esp for one last gathering before they jet back to various parts of oz.

it's v day tomorrow. most couples would be celebrating the day. flowers, presents, dinner, some things tt would not be missing. great chance for suppliers to cash in on the occasion n rake in the sales.

as usual, it'll be a lonely day for me. but nm used to it aredi anyway.
heard from some frens tt they'll be having thermo quiz tomorrow! o wat a spoiler, i can hear couples taking the quiz crying. afterall, how romantic can it be having to prepare for a quiz rather than preparing for the occasion n planning on wat to wear or go. if i'm one of those quiz-takers, i would feel very turn off (by the quiz! wat were u tinking?). for one in love, it would mean spending the nite up mugging=> spoiling ur chance to have a good nite's rest after a strenuous week==> not being to look ur best for the occasion! n then after the quiz, still gotta lug ur belongings home before going out again.
for the singles, it would mean having to face so many couples on the way back after the quiz tt u would be drowned by ur own envy! o cant they juz be spared the dignity by staying at home on v day?

hmm
maybe the govt should juz declare v day a public holiday. then there wont be lecturerers to spoil the special day for those crazy-in-love-students. well probably those in love wont be in a mood to study or work anyway rite? so y not do them a favour n grant them this day off to enjoy the fruits of their relationships. better yet, with the extra hours off, it may juz encourage couples to *bleep* n procreate. the committee of the Romancing Singapore campaign should consider this idea. who knows it may juz increase the birth rate here.

i'm back in business in full force

1st let me thank the ppl who contributed their good luck to me openly and those who did so silently. really grateful to them in assisting me to complete the last yr. n here, i tink its appropriate to openly thank those who dare/care to respond to my pleas: kasturi n siew ern, thank u for the deed, u shall be rewarded with more than what u offered...hee

wah kinda tired today, miscalculated the no. of sleeping hours last nite, then slept one hour less... no wonder morn feel more lethargic than usual. sat at the back of lt1a today coz came in a little late, then didnt bother to shift also hahaha, somehow i was able to concentrate pretty well.

yeah bought 281 textbook at bookfair for only 5 bucks! missed a few chances on that "last yr". wat difference the "new yr" makes... fren discovered abt the selling of the text at the last bookfair at cant a, mizd it coz i found out too late. then fren offered to go to the bookstore to buy for me, but twice the shop had aredi closed for the day, the last time being last wk.
after the "new yr", wahla! here's another bookfair, by the same bookstore. made my way right after my tut to search for the book. Got it!

guess the bookstore muz be pretty pleased with the sales during the last bookfair that they decided to comeback again. well tt's what i tink judging fr wat i saw the last time round. but this time, the bookfair wasnt tt interesting i feel. there's way too many computer books which many ppl rn't knowledgeable in or dont have the time to work on them. there were only a handful of books on general interests, compared to the last bookfair where there were 2 tables. yes there were many ppl walking by n looking at the books, but fewer were making purchases i feel, judging fr wat i saw.


managed to do some work today in sch, however fell asleep twice while doing so hahaha
but nvtheless, it had been a good day. more and better of such days to come.
